Focus On: Eilen Jewell

The celebration of Folk Alley’s 5th Anniversary continued into September with a concert featuring Americana sweeter Eilen Jewell at Happy Days Lodge. After the candles were lit and the cake divvied up, Jewell and her band took the stage, entertaining the audience with a rootsy performance. Her old-time performance style conjures up a smoky speakeasy in the ‘20s, with songs that are evocative of a time gone by, and yet contemporary and engaging to today’s audiences.

This concert was recorded live at Happy Days Lodge in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Peninsula, OH during a Folk Alley 5th Anniversary concert in September 2008 by contributing producer Craig Adams.

Outstanding! I wasn't familiar with Eilen Jewell, but that's what I love about Folk Alley. I am now a committed Eilen Jewell fan. Scott Philadelphia PA
